One of the biggest Brazilian media companies, Abril Publishing, presented us with a challenge: to create an engaging portal for the 2012 Olympics without the need for transmission rights or official recognition of the Olympic Games.
Solution: Crowdsourcing. We let the user be the producer, allowing them to post on the website information that was afterwards integrated to Abril Media’s content. This social media platform was linked to Facebook and a mobile app, where any user could take pictures, create videos and post on the web site.
For this project we created the portal, the mobile app, games and infographics. Abril in London was a great solution that combines technology and creativity to solve a big challenge.
